freeware or shareware. Some of these download in the form of compressed
or zip files, so it is necessary to have a file extraction program
such as WinZip installed on your computer to install the software
properly. These programs are, mostly, educational games.
Little
Fingers Preschool: This software contains activities such as
matching pictures, counting numbers, colours shapes and puzzles.
Matties
Math Games: Number games with animation and music can be found
on this software.
Animal
Math: This program contains number games on counting, sequence,
addition and subtraction.
Living Numbers:
This is a number tutorial from 1-10, and it also contains dot-to-dot
and Mr. Number Head.
Amy's
fun23: This program has number games involving counting, matching
and music.
Match
and Learn: In this program numbers, number words and objects
are matched. There are also sections on addition and subtraction.
Penny Penguin's
Math Bingo: This program reinforces basic addition in numbers
up to ten.
Basic
Polygons: This is a PowerPoint tutorial on shapes.
Shapes: This program focuses on shape and colour recognition.
Animated Talking
Clock: This is an excellent program for reinforcing time telling
skills. Intervals can be adjusted from hours alone to hours and
intervals of five minutes.
Talking
Time Tutor: This software deals with recognition of time on
analogue and digital clocks.
