Snowdoria

With its emphasis on fun, this project seeks to develop skills in English and Social Environmental and Scientific Education (SESE) through a cross-curricular approach to learning. Using the format of an online book, pupils are asked to complete crossword puzzles, decipher mirror writing and even crack secret codes all based on their knowledge of life in Snowdoria.

 

Twisted Tales

Harry Potter Again

It involves activities that focus on character profiles, descriptions of the setting, chronological order of events and report writing. Phingertip Fonics

Phingertip Fonics is designed to help teachers who are teaching basic phonics and word recognition. It is used by the class teacher in a whole class situation, or by Learning Support teacher in a small group/individual situation.

 

Let’s Explore Disney

This project uses the world of Disney as a theme in order to encourage pupils: - To access the Internet, to gather and collate relevant information - To do a cross-curricular study involving artwork, history, geography and creative writing - To build web pages based on both the information they have gathered and on their own creative work.

 

Who lives here?

This project is designed to encourage pupils to explore the diversity of multiculturalism that exists in Ireland today. Pupils are encouraged to explore backgrounds of people who differ in colour, religion, culture and nationality living in modern day Ireland. The project challenges pupils to examine their feelings and beliefs towards other ethnic groups.
