Wild Creek

Lets travel to the other side of the world to North America to explore black bear country.

The black bear or Ursus americanus is one of the most well known wild animals in North America today and is related to the grizzly bear and polar bear.

It is not known exactly how many black bears there are as they live in heavily wooded areas and are very secretive animals.

Black bears, especially males and young bears are endangered mainly as a result of legal hunting. Although black bears can live for up to 20-25 years few bears ever reach that age.
