Let me tell you what I know about Irish Myths and Legends to give you a head start. A myth is a traditional story based on something that didn’t happen and is usually about superhuman beings, good and evil, love and fun.
The best known Irish myths of today are divided into four main groups of stories. This WebQuest looks at one group of stories belonging to the Ulster Cycle and Fenian Cycle. It has about eighty myths but there are only a few used in this webquest.
For hundreds of years they were handed down from storyteller to storyteller. They were not written down until hundreds of years after they were first told, so, some of the original details have changed. Some of the great stories you are going to look at are:
