This Internet Project is a combination of a field trip followed by the children’s own work and directed research on the Internet. The children work collaboratively in groups, guided by the teacher, to broaden their knowledge of this unique natural habitat. They can compete for highest score in an interactive online crossword based on their topics. The project concludes with a display of the children’s printed material and artwork in conjunction with an oral presentation. Great benefit can had from binding the printed material into a book and having it available in the class library.
