Overview
This website focuses in on the curriculum subject of SESE –mainly History and Geography. This project gives a brief introduction to the life of the Antarctic Hero Tom Crean. The website goes through the life of Tom Crean and has various activities along the way. It touches on the various different explorations that Tom Crean was involved in and how he overcame all difficulties against the odds.
What You Need
The students should be allowed to work alone or in pairs.
4 -6 one hour sessions.

Adrienne has been teaching in St. Eithne’s Girls’ school since graduating from Marino Institute of Education with a B.Ed. in 2002. For her honors degree in Trinity she took IT as an elective where she designed and wrote a dissertation on Web Quests. Adrienne is a member of CESI and has completed two NCTE courses in ICT – Mindstorms and Interactive Whiteboards. Two years she joined up to a pilot programme for Interactive Whiteboards and she has now had a IWB installed in her classroom. Adrienne is currently teaching Fourth Class and gives adult beginner computer classes in her school every Monday. Currently doing Masters in Digital Learning in St. Pats, Drumcondra Interested in Clay Animation, Interactive Whiteboard – Promethean, Lego – Mindstorms
